Advisor and Investor 9.0 released

Happy New Years! If you have noticed we have been quite silent on this blog over the past 5-6 months, mainly because the entire team was working towards a very busy 2012.

At MProfit we started 2012 with a bang, with the launch of latest version of MProfit Investor (v9.0). But in even bigger news is we launched our second product MProfit Advisor. MProfit Advisor was designed for companies, family offices, HNIs, CFPs, independent financial advisors (IFAs), insurance advisors, investment advisors and sub-brokers.

What’s new in MProfit Investor v9.0?
We have rebuilt MProfit Investor (download) to take advantage of the many new features we have planned for 2012 such as the ability to sync your data with advisors. In addition, you will be able to view your data on tablets and mobile phones (Android, iOS, Windows).

Some of the features you will notice right away:

Bigger font size of the summary screen
Many more import options have been added
Capital gains report with or without indexation for debt mutual funds and FMPs

MProfit Advisor commercially available

Since the launch of our first product MProfit Investor we were receiving many requests from financial advisors, HNIs and family offices. In 2011, we decided it was time to start working on a new product based on the feedback and what you see today in MProfit Advisor (download) is a result of it.

MProfit Advisor we designed to be easy to use and cost effective. MProfit Advisor allows you to manage 100′s of portfolios, put your logo on reports, generate overall AUM reports and many other features. In the near future, advisors will be able to share data with their clients in an easy and secure manner. At MProfit, 2012 is the year we plan to make managing money a very simple task.

MProfit v5.3 update available

Today, we are pleased to announce our latest v5.3 release.

1. One of the most requested features is the addition of 15 minute delayed prices during market hours. MProfit will automatically refresh the prices every 5 minutes.

2. Quick Reports – We have added the Group Holding Stocks report, to show which portfolios contain which stocks.

3. Reports: A new group report for ULIP/Insurance – it provides comprehensive information such as policy, nominee, sum assured, premium/withdrawal, maturity date and current policy value. Also, updated transaction reports for ULIP, Insurance and other assets. Lastly, we have revised the look of all the reports for easier viewing.

4. Import – We have added several more brokers to allow importing of contract notes from BP Equities, ODIN trade file, Pratibhuti Viniyog, Sharewealth Securities, SVS Securities and Vimal & Sons. (click for a current list of brokers)

How Do I Get The Update?
From the main menu select Help -> Check for Updates. You will need to restart MProfit to proceed with the update.

MProfit v5.2 update available

We are pleased to announce our latest release v5.2. It contains several new reports, our new Quick Reports feature and many new import options.

1. Trading Profit/Loss Reports – Trading summary and detailed reports useful for investors who track their profit/loss on their trading activities in stocks based on average purchase price. The calculations would be different than those generated by capital gain reports which are based on First In First Out (FIFO) basis.

2. Income Reports – Reports give a summary or detailed view of income generated from your assets. For stocks, it would include dividend payout. For mutual funds, it would include dividend pay out and dividend reinvestment. For property it would include rent received. The report also includes all the interest income from your fixed income investment such as Bank FDs, Bonds, PPFs, Post Office, etc.

3. Quick Reports view – From the main summary screen the new “Quick Reports” button provides quick access to 3 reports: Portfolio summary, Trading P/L summary and Income summary.

4. Import – We have added many new brokers you can import contract notes including ACK Capital Management, Adroit Financial, Arcadia, Asset Alliance Securities, Beats Software, BRICS Securities, Chuknoo Securities, Composite Securities, Edelweiss Securities, Farsight Securities, First Global, Kedia Shares, Labdhi, Latin Manharlal and Microsec Capital. MProfit v5.1 update available

Today we are releasing v5.1 of MProfit. Since the release of our import feature in v5.0 we have received many requests to add more brokers and online portals. We realized we needed to make the import window much easier to use so we streamlined the import window to handle the growing list of import options available to you.

With v5.1 we have added Angel Broking, Atlas Integrated, Baljit Securities, Enam, Geojit BNP Paribas, ICICI Direct, IDBI, India Infoline (IIFL), Joindre Capital, KR Choksey, Magnum Equity, Networth Stock Broking, Nirmal Bang, Religare, RBS, Sharekhan and Unicon Securities.

In addition, we have added a couple more options for Mutual Fund investors. You can directly import your online accounts from Karvy Online and Prudent Corporate Advisory.

Lastly, this version fixed a couple minor bugs. You can download a new version from our website or from within MProfit you can goto Help -> Check For Updates and download the update.

MProfit v5.0 update available

We are pleased to announce our most exciting release of MProfit yet…v5.0. Customers have been telling us they wanted a way to import their financial data and with v5.0 you can now import your data. We provide 4 ways to import your data:

1. Brokerage digital contract notes. We currently support Anagram Securities, IL&FS, Kotak, Lalkar, MF Global, Motilal Oswal, Reliance and many others. If your broker is not listed please let us know and we’ll add them.

2. CAMS/KARVY mutual fund files. We support Karvy 201/221, CAMS WBR2 and CAMS personal files.

3. Predefined Excel formats – Using the templates provided you can import your stock and mutual fund transactions. Stock template | MF template

4. Online portals. We currently support Value Research Online and NJ Fundz. This allows you to keep a backup of your financial data on your computer and also aggregate all your financial data.

MProfit v4.2 update available

As part of our continuous effort to improve MProfit we have added several new reports and improved the layout of several existing reports. With our reports, you get a snapshot of your overall asset allocation and can analyze if you are over invested in a specific asset class, stock or mutual fund and then decide if you need to re-balance your portfolio.

New Reports:

Accounting JV (Reports -> Accounts) - useful for entering journal entries for accounting purposes. It lists the journal voucher entries based on stocks and MF buy and sale transactions.

With stocks, details like debit/credit of intra-day profit/loss, short term or long term capital gains, STT, transaction charges and broker’s ledger account are listed based on the contract note details.

With Mutual Funds, details like debit/credit of short term or long term capital gains and bank’s account are listed based on the buy or sale transaction.

Other Transactions (Reports -> Transactions) - transactions are listed with details like income, withdrawal, investment, opening and closing balance.

Due Dates (Reports -> Miscellaneous) - Lists the due dates for various events (reminders), like premium due, maturity date and lock-in period complete. Due dates for next six months can be selected via the customization option. In the group portfolio, the report lists the due dates for all the group (family) members in one consolidated report.

MProfit version 4.03 released

As part of our continuous effort to improve MProfit we have added several new features based on customer feedback to MProfit v4.03:

An income module
Reports relating to annualized returns (XIRR)
Group holding reports

With our new Income Module, you can track a variety of income related transactions:

Dividends received from any stock or mutual fund
Rental income from property you own
Other income from your other assets
Bonus (accrued and pay-out) in case of insurance plans

A new feature that many of you have requested is finally here – reports relating to annualised returns (XIRR). With our new Annualized Returns report you can see how your specific investments are performing. Also, by highlighting a specific area of the summary screen we provide instant balloon notification of Annualised Returns (XIRR) for a single asset, an asset category or all assets for an individual portfolio or group portfolio.

In addition, we have introduced new reports for group holdings. You can view the performance of your group holdings by stocks, equity MFs or debt MFs or a combined view of all your asset classes.

Also, this version fixes some minor bugs.

How Do I Get The Update?

When using MProfit you will be prompted about the availability of v4.03. You will need to accept and allow the installation to enjoy the latest features of MProfit.

When you accept, the update will be downloaded and installed on your desktop. Please make sure that you have internet connectivity during this process and your antivirus software and/or firewall is not blocking the download to allow the installation of the MProfit update.

MProfit version 4.02 released

As part of our continuous effort to improve MProfit we have added several new features based on customer feedback to MProfit v4.02:

Daily gain and overall gain for accumulated interest (accrued) for interest bearing assets like bank FDs, deposits, loans, PPF/EPF, Post Office and any miscellaneous assets
Display of Maturity Value and Current Value for these assets

MProfit Software Update – Version 4.0 released

This version provides the improvement and stability in the license management functionality. It also provides the support for the transactions related to short selling in stocks.

The previous version users will get the message about the availability of the new version 4.0. You need to accept and allow the installation to enjoy the full functionality of MProfit. MProfit Software Update – Version 3.16 released

We are happy to announce the availability of the new version 3.16 of MProfit – Desktop Portfolio Management Software.

Following features/functionalities have been added in this version.

Portfolio Summary Reports of Individual and Group portfolios are added in Analytical Reports, which can be saved and printed. These reports can also be customised for printing of any single asset type, for e.g. Portfolio summary for only Stocks, Equity MF, ULIPs, etc.
Print View button on the summary screen added so that Portfolio Summary reports can be directly printed from the summary screen.
Folio Number details are added in all mutual fund reports.
Improved Password feature for Owner and User, with password hint feature.
License Management feature

This version also fixes some of the minor bugs in the software. The previous version users will get the message about the availability of the new version 3.16. You need to accept and allow the installation to enjoy the full functionality of MProfit. When you accept it, it will be downloaded and installed on your desktop. Please make sure that you have the internet connectivity during this process and your antivirus software or firewall should not block the downloading and installation of new MProfit update.
